I’m tired today.
I have nothing to say that would be useful or inspiring.
Except perhaps to remind everyone that some days are like this.
I keep looking at wool coats and cozy cardigans and boots. I live in Southern. California and I have no physical need for these things. I’m yearning for winter, I think, for the world to slow down so I can slow down.
So I made a cup of tea as a start. Honey Chai Tumeric from Yogi teas, if you must know. It’s a new favorite.
And the tea tab has this quote on it:
You are unlimited.
I laughed out loud and thought, “That’s a lie! It’s not true! There are limits!”
It was a great reminder of something I already know: the slowing down has to come from within.
Totally get it. I woke up feeling the same way. It's just one of those recharge days.
I hear you about comfy sweaters and boots. Though I am a New Yorker, I lived in San Diego (Poway) for 27 years and I missed those things too. Despite nobody wanting to believe it, San Diego has its moments of 30 degree days. Since moving back to NYC in 2001 - dealing with the horrendous humidity and the freezing winters - I suggest you take a vacation somewhere cold and get it out of your system. Or come to NYC for October - Fall is the best time of year. We'll meet for tea.
I know exactly how you feel. Some days it takes everything to just get the motor running..
